Director, Directorate of Sports and Recreation at Lagos State University (LASU)

• The Director, Sports and Recreation, is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration and coordination of sports and recreation activities in the University.

Eligibility and experience

The candidate must have:

• A good honours degree in Sports Science and Human Kinetics, or Physical and Health Education (from a recognised body)
• Fifteen (15) years relevant post-qualification experience
• A relevant higher degree
• Five (5) years at Deputy Director of Sports and Recreation level in a University or comparable body
• Membership of relevant professional bodies
• Proficiency in ICT

Key responsibilities

• Designing, running, and overseeing sports leagues, fitness classes, camps, and recreation events for staff and students
• Creating and managing budgets; seeking funding; handling sponsorships
• Drawing up an annual sports calendar for the University
