    Director, Advocacy & Programmes

    Role Overview

    • To champion the Expansion and Participation pillars by strengthening FintechNGR’s influence in policy development, ecosystem collaboration, and government engagement. This role ensures the association remains the trusted national voice for fintech.

    Key Responsibilities

    Policy Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Lead regulatory engagements with CBN, SEC, NITDA, NCC, FCCPC, NAICOM, and others.
    • Coordinate policy roundtables, committees, and working groups.
    • Develop industry whitepapers, policy recommendations and position papers.

    Programmes & Events

    • Lead nationwide fintech awareness campaigns and state engagements.
    • Oversee strategic programmes: Innovation tours, GovTech dialogues, industry forums.
    • Strengthen relationships with government agencies, industry regulators, and development partners.

    Research & Ecosystem Intelligence

    • Produce quarterly regulatory impact reports.
    • Track regulatory shifts and guide the membership base.

    Leadership & Operations

    • Manage advocacy team, programs calendar and regulatory relationships.
    • Oversee governance documentation, minutes, and alignment across committees.

    Qualifications & Skill Set

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Economics, or related field.
    • A master’s degree is an advantage.
    • 8+ years of experience, including regulatory engagement experience.
    • Strong public affairs, communication, analytical and diplomacy skills.
    • Proven experience leading events, advocacy initiatives, or policy projects.
    • Ability to engage high-level stakeholders, including CEOs and regulators.
