Access, monitor, and manage credit risk associated with customers, ensuring that the company's credit exposure is within acceptable limits while supporting business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers using financial statements, credit scores, and payment history
Recommend and set appropriate credit limits for customers based on risk appetite and analysis
Continuously monitor existing credit exposure and flag accounts for early warning signs of default
Investigate overdue accounts and support collections by providing risk insights and risk mitigation recommendations
Generate regular credit risk reports, such as aging reports, etc, for management review
Maintain accurate credit records and explore automation tools for credit processes
Analyze industry trends and market risk that could affect customer creditworthiness.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA. CRM, ERM, PRM
Experience using an ERP such as SAP for credit tracking and reporting.
3-5 years of experience in Credit Risk Management within the manufacturing or financial services.
