Financial Controller at Energy People

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. The role ensures strong financial governance, regulatory compliance, effective cash flow management, and provides financial insight to support management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Prepare and analyse financial statements in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor performance against plans
• Implement and monitor internal financial controls and risk management measures
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
• Coordinate internal and external audits and tax compliance activities
• Provide financial analysis and dashboards to support strategic decisions
• Support cost control initiatives and profitability improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is required
• Master’s degree (MBA or Finance) is an advantage
• Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in financial management and reporting
• Strong background in budgeting, cash flow management, tax compliance, and audits
• Proficiency in accounting systems, preferably SAGE Evolution
• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
