Role Summary
Purpose of the Role
To provide the CEO with structured executive support, strategic oversight, and operational guidance across all units of the Foundation, enabling the CEO to transition from a primarily social work–driven leadership style to a fully functional executive management role anchored in efficiency, accountability, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Executive Advisory & Organizational Oversight
Advise and support the CEO in day-to-day decision-making and implementation across all departments.
Serve as a bridge between the CEO and departmental heads, ensuring clarity of priorities, timely execution, and adherence to organizational policies.
Provide high-level analysis on operational performance, identifying bottlenecks and recommending solutions.
Support the CEO in institutional planning, board reporting, and coordination of strategic initiatives.
2. Systems Strengthening & Operational Excellence
Evaluate and streamline internal processes across Programs, Finance, Legal, and Communications units to improve efficiency.
Develop and implement performance monitoring frameworks to ensure departmental accountability.
Guide the CEO in establishing clear reporting lines, measurable goals, and integrated work plans.
Oversee adherence to compliance, governance, and donor reporting requirements.
3. Leadership Development & Change Management
Mentor and coach the CEO and senior managers to strengthen leadership, planning, and supervisory capabilities.
Facilitate a more structured approach to delegation, priority management, and internal communication.
Cultivate a performance-driven culture that aligns operational execution with strategic goals.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Institutional Positioning
Support the CEO in preparing for high-level stakeholder engagements, donor meetings, and public speaking opportunities.
Ensure that departmental outputs (reports, proposals, partnerships) align with the organization’s vision and professional standards.
Represent the CEO, when required, at internal or external meetings to maintain momentum on key initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Advanced degree in Management, Development Studies, Organizational Leadership, or Social Policy.
Minimum of 10–15 years’ experience in senior management, consulting, or executive advisory roles, ideally within NGOs, international development, or social sector organizations.
Proven expertise in organizational development, operations management, and executive leadership support.
Demonstrated ability to guide social-sector leaders toward structured, sustainable operational models.
Strong analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication, diplomacy, and stakeholder management abilities.
