    Communication & Storytelling Intern

    About the Role:

The Communications & Storytelling Intern will own AHF\'s external narrative: managing content, communications, social media, events, and the patient storytelling initiative that sits at the heart of how AHF connects with the public, donors, and partners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage AHF\'s social media presence across all platforms: developing and scheduling content that reflects AHF\'s work, values, and voice
    • Lead the patient storytelling initiative: coordinating the production of four patient documentary films, liaising with the videographer, and managing the pre-shoot and post-production process
    • Plan and coordinate AHF events and future community and stakeholder events
    • Write and edit external communications — newsletters, press releases, donor updates, website content, and social media copy
    • Develop and maintain AHF\'s visual identity and communications standards across all materials
    • Work closely with the Partnerships Manager to ensure fundraising materials are aligned with AHF\'s storytelling strategy
    • Manage media relationships and support press coverage of AHF\'s work
    • Maintain AHF\'s website and ensure it reflects the organisation\'s current scale and activities

    What We Are Looking For:

    • Strong writing and editing skills — ability to write clearly and compellingly for a range of audiences
    • Experience managing social media accounts and developing content strategies
    • Experience coordinating events or productions — film, live events, or both
    • Strong visual sensibility — experience with Canva, Adobe, or equivalent design tools
    • Genuine interest in health, social impact, or public advocacy
    • Organised, creative, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

AHF is an equal opportunity organization. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
