Child Protection Officer at Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria (Caritas Nigeria)

Job Purpose:

• To lead the implementation of child protection activities and ensure that children’s rights are safeguarded within the target communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) in project locations.
• Conduct assessments to identify children at risk and provide tailored protection services.
• Facilitate training for community-based child protection committees and structures.
• Collaborate with caregivers, community leaders, and service providers to address child protection concerns.
• Develop and implement awareness-raising campaigns on child rights and protection issues.
• Prepare timely reports on child protection activities and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Child Development, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in child protection programming.
• Experience working with vulnerable children and displaced populations.
• Strong knowledge of child protection frameworks and case management principles.

Physical Demands:
