As the Chief Operations Officer, you are the architect of our operational strategy and execution. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for building the scalable systems that power our transport operator partnerships, ensure regulatory compliance, and guarantee service delivery across Nigeria's complex multi-modal transport ecosystem. You’ll focus on driving business results while our HR partners handle people operations excellence.Ultimately, this is a critical leadership role for a professional who is ready to own our operational foundation and prepare us for aggressive growth.

What You'll Be Accountable For: Key Responsibilities:
Transport Operator Ecosystem (40%)
- Design and execute strategy for onboarding 50+ transport companies within first 12 months
- Establish partnerships with bus operators, ride-hailing services, train companies, and emerging transport providers
- Negotiate data integration agreements and API access with major transport operators
- Develop standardized onboarding processes for transport companies of varying technical capabilities
- Create partner success programs to ensure active participation and data quality
Operational Framework Development (30%)
- Build scalable operational processes supporting 10x growth trajectory
- Establish quality standards for route data, pricing accuracy, and schedule reliability
- Implement partner performance monitoring and compliance systems
- Design crisis management protocols for service disruptions or partner issues
- Create operational dashboards and KPI tracking systems
Regulatory & Compliance (20%)
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian transport regulations across all states of operation
- Liaise with FRSC, state transport authorities, and relevant regulatory bodies
- Develop compliance frameworks for data privacy (GDPR) and financial transactions
- Establish safety and insurance protocols for platform bookings
- Manage licensing requirements for multi-state transport operations
Strategic Leadership (10%)
- Collaborate with CEO on market expansion strategy and city prioritization
- Provide operational input on product roadmap and feature development
- Support fundraising with operational metrics and growth projections
- Build relationships with industry stakeholders and government officials
What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred
- 5-7 years operations leadership experience, preferably in transport/logistics or tech platforms
- Proven track record managing B2B partnerships and complex operational systems
- Experience with regulatory compliance in Nigerian business environment
- Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI development and performance management
