Job Description

• We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in Benin City, Nigeria. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service whilst ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
• Greet customers in a warm and welcoming manner
• Operate the till and process various forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments
• Accurately count and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of each shift
• Scan items, bag purchases, and provide receipts to customers
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Assist with stock-taking and inventory management when required
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including cash handling and security protocols
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a B.SC or HND in Accounting 
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred
• Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to handle cash and perform basic calculations quickly and accurately
• Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash registers
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and supportive demeanour
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all transactions
• Good time management and organisational skills.
