Level: Assistant Manager
Reports to: Managing Director

Job Overview

• The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, promoting, and creating awareness regarding the company's Groupage/LCL Service.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to in line with agreed budgets
• Oversee the development and delivery of sales proposals and presentations
• Provide Executive Management weekly with relevant and clear information relating to LCL market activity
• Identify and develop relationships with LCL international networks
• Provide customers with accurate and cost-effective quotations
• Identify and source for customers with LCL business trade links in Asia, Europe, US hubs.
• Manage overseas network partners relationships
• Gather market information and provide relevant feedback on competitor’s rates
• Ensure conversion of prospective customers into new businesses
• Liaise with Pricing Team, Sales team, and Operations to ensure competitive and sustainable pricing is provided in regular daily quotes
• Any other duty as may be assigned

Job Requirements

• Not less than 5 - 7 years working experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry
• Strong negotiation skills
• Result oriented
• Strong Sales skills
• Proven track record in a related role
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven commercial awareness

Educational Qualification

• B.Sc or HND in Marketing in any discipline
• MBA will be an added advantage.
