Biomedical Engineer Specialist at Alfred & Victoria Associates

Duties & Responsibilities

• Installing and modifying medical equipment and instruments within hospitals, health centers, and extended care facilities.
• Ensuring the safety of medical equipment used for treatments.
• Evaluate the efficacy, safety, and efficiency of medical devices.
• Provides technical support and troubleshooting solutions.
• Respond to user inquiries.
• Generates reports on machine performance.
• Responsible for installing, testing, calibrating, and repairing biomedical equipment.
• Conducting tests and evaluations for proposed and new equipment.
• Deal with contractors, evaluate service contracts and maintain equipment inventories.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing, and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
• Train clinical staff and other personnel on the proper use of biomedical equipment.
• Any other task(s) as assigned by the HOD from time to time.

Skills & Qualifications.

• BE Biomedical with at least 2-5 years of related work experience, preferably in a healthcare setup.
• Should have good communication skills and problem-solving skills.
• Must be proficient in using MS Office applications.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of medical and engineering.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team of other professionals, such as physicians, clinical operators, and nurses.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and procedures.
• Creative design and development skills
• Ability to adapt and apply conceptual ideas into reality.
• Ability to provide solutions to problems.
• Good listening and interpersonal skills for dealing with Therapists, Physicians, and other business professionals.
