Associate Vice President, Research at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead research projects across the energy, commodities, and infrastructure sectors, producing high-quality research reports, including market analysis, investment trends, and sectoral studies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including multinational clients, governmental agencies, and financial institutions by positioning AFC as a leader among key stakeholders on critical infrastructure issues in Africa.
• Draft and publish research content for various platforms.
• Support business development efforts by providing research-based insights to inform investment strategies.
• Organize and participate in high-level meetings, conferences, and investment roadshows.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and either French/Spanish/Portuguese is highly desirable. Proficiency in additional languages such as Arabic will be an added advantage. 
• Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics or a related field. A Master's degree from a prestigious institution preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in market research, strategy, and business development, with significant exposure to emerging markets, particularly in Africa.
• Proven track record of conducting and managing complex research projects and delivering actionable insights.
• Extensive experience in the energy, commodities, and infrastructure sectors.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and either French/Spanish/Portuguese is highly desirable. Proficiency in additional languages such as Arabic will be an added advantage.
