    Accountant

    Company Overview:

    Job Objective:

    The Accountant will work full-time, on-site at our Victoria Island office. The Accountant will be responsible for managing the firm’s financial records, ensuring accurate accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements. The role will support management with financial analysis, budgeting, and maintaining strong financial controls.

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
    • Prepare monthly management accounts and periodic financial reports.
    • Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates on the firm’s financial position.
    • Prepare financial statements and support annual audit processes.
    • Manage invoicing, collections, and receivables tracking.
    • Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Track expenditure against approved budgets and highlight variances. 
    • Ensure compliance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements. 
    • Prepare and manage tax filings including VAT, WHT, and PAYE.
    • Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors when required.
    • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
    • Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.

    Job Requirements 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
    • 3–5 years’ relevant accounting experience.
    • Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent (completed or in progress) will be an advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
