    Administrative Officer

    Job Description

    • The Administrative Officer provides high-level support for the efficient and effective operations of an organization.
    • They handle office management tasks, coordinate administrative processes, and support various departments with documentation, scheduling, and logistics.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage day-to-day office operations, including supplies, documentation, and facility maintenance.
    • Organize and schedule meetings, appointments, and events.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and files.
    • Supervise and support junior administrative staff or office assistants.
    • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers for office supplies and maintenance.
    • Coordinate communication between departments and external stakeholders.
    • Handle correspondence, including letters, emails, memos, and reports.
    • Ensure compliance with office policies, processes, and government regulations.
    • Maintain and update personnel and administrative databases and filing systems.
    • Assist with budget planning, expense tracking, and procurement documentation.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education:

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./B.A.) in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or related fields from a recognized institution.

    Experience:

    • At least 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in administrative or office management roles.
    • Experience working in a structured organization, public service, or NGO is an added advantage.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Knowledge of Nigerian civil service or administrative procedures is beneficial.
    • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
