    Accountant

    Job Summary:

    • The Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, approving payments, overseeing payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting while being available for occasional in-person meetings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and balance financial accounts.
    • Approve payments, monitor transactions, and ensure financial accuracy.
    • Process invoices, track sales records, and manage cash inflow and outflow.
    • Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely disbursement of salaries.
    • Ensure timely tax remittances and business compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Manage budget allocation for various services and track expenditures.
    • Handle disbursement of payments upon approval.
    • Follow up on pending payments and maintain strong relationships with vendors and clients.
    • Review and sign off on invoices, ensuring accuracy and validity.
    • Monitor financial risks and suggest improvements in financial operations.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • OND /HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably managing multiple business entities.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and business compliance.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high levels of productivity.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
