Accountant, (Hotel/Conference Centre) at Stresert Services Limited

Responsibilities

• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
• Forecast costs and revenues
• Manage tax payments
• Organize internal audits
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
• Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
• Analyze financial trends
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes

Desired Requirements

• Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role in a hotel
• Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
• Confidentiality
• B.Sc. degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Additional certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA) is a plus
