    Accountant

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategic Financial Leadership:

    • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with our business goals.
    • Drive strategic decision-making by providing actionable financial insights to the executive team

    Operational Excellence:

    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Optimize cash flow management
    • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reducing cost overruns and maximizing profitability.

    Team Leadership & Development:

    • Mentor and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
    • Encourage professional development and create succession plans to support the evolving needs of the business.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Liaise with external partners, including banks, investors, and auditors, to build and maintain strong relationships.
    • Present financial performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is highly preferred.
    • 8 -10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 - 5 years in a senior management role.
    • Proven track record of strategic financial leadership and operational excellence in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, risk management, and compliance standards in Nigeria.
    • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
    • Experience in leading high-performing teams and driving organizational change.
    • Proficiency in financial software; advanced Excel skills required.
