About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, monitoring outstanding invoices, and ensuring timely collection of receivables to support the company’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and overdue payments.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding invoices through calls, emails, or other communication channels.
• Record and reconcile incoming payments in the accounting system.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions and customer payment history.
• Prepare periodic reports such as receivable aging and collection status.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues.
• Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure proper documentation of transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Provide support to the Finance Manager on other accounting duties when required.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar accounting role.
• OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Accounting certification is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
