    Deposit Mobilization Officer

    Location: Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Sangotedo - Lagos

    Job Summary

    • An established Microfinance Bank is seeking experienced, sales-driven, and target-oriented Deposit Mobilization Officers to drive deposit growth and expand its liability portfolio across multiple locations in Lagos.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring and managing customers, mobilizing savings, current, and fixed deposits, building strong relationships within the business community, and consistently achieving deposit targets.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive the acquisition of new savings, current, and fixed deposit accounts to achieve assigned liability and deposit mobilization targets.
    • Develop and execute strategies to attract deposits from individuals, SMEs, corporate organizations, associations, and high-net-worth customers.
    • Identify, prospect, and convert new business opportunities through field marketing, networking, referrals, and relationship management.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to drive deposit retention and portfolio growth.
    • Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and business development activities to promote the bank's deposit products and services.
    • Aggressively drive savings, current, and fixed deposit volume growth in line with monthly targets.
    • Cross-sell relevant banking products and services to deepen customer relationships and increase revenue.
    • Monitor customer accounts and proactively address concerns to ensure excellent customer experience and retention.
    • Gather market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, and emerging opportunities within the assigned territory.
    • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and activity reports.
    • Ensure full compliance with KYC, AML, and all internal regulatory and operational requirements.
    • Collaborate with branch operations and other internal teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and service delivery.

    Requirements

    • OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
    • 1–4 years of experience in deposit mobilization or liability generation within a Microfinance Bank, Fintech, or Commercial Bank.
    • Proven track record of consistently achieving monthly deposit or liability targets.
    • Strong network and relationship-building skills within business and commercial markets.
    • Excellent sales, negotiation, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
    • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
    • Strong business development and prospecting abilities.
    • Proximity to the preferred work location (Ikorodu, Lagos Island, or Sangotedo) is a significant advantage.
