Country Manager - Transport and Logistics at a Logistics and Transportation Company

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage every aspect of our operation in the country.
• Handle daily loading and courier operations.
•  Generate daily operations report and send to the Nigerian head Office.
• Handling of charter enquiries and bookings
• prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and forward same to the management
• Write and sell ticket to passengers with zero error in writing of tickets.
• Attend customer’s complaints
• Inform agents in other locations of space reserved or available.
• Examines passenger ticket to direct passenger to specified area for loading.
• Enter cashbook within 24hours of sales of ticket  and bank cash sales on a daily basis
• Help passengers by answering questions from customers on travelling arrangements.
• Help to make and confirm reservations.
• Monitor proper pick-ups
• Announce departure information using public address system (if any).
• Work to ensure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained
• Contribute to the overall  success of our company
• Other duties include helping passengers who missed a bus to re-schedule their travel plans and get them to their destination as quickly as possible.

Any other assigned duties

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bsc ; HND; OND in any  relevant field.
• 3-5 years’ or more experience as a manager preferably in a transportation company.
• Fluent in both English and French  languages
• Experience living in cotonou for an extended period of time
• Exceptionally well organized and driven by success
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations
