Our client is seeking a Head of Strategy to join their team. Reporting to the CEO, the position offers the opportunity to address key strategic areas of growth for the organization. The organization provides an excellent platform for strategy professionals to play a prominent role in shaping the future of one of the most exciting companies in the Financial services space. The individual will be joining a small, core group of professionals who drive the development and implementation of annual operating plans and key strategic initiatives, addressing cross-business-unit strategic opportunities to help the company realize its full potential. As a key member of this team, the Head of Strategy will be responsible for strategy development and execution, consulting internally across Business Units and key functions on projects that build on the organization’s strong foundations.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Support the CEO and other leaders in driving the development of strategic plans, including annual operating plans and key strategic initiatives
• Structure and lead complex strategic projects and initiatives supporting them into the execution
• Develop strategies & business plans with clear goals, execution plan and metrics
• Actively connect and collaborate with all Business Unit leaders
• Engage with Sales and Go To Market leaders to secure commitment to plan goals, investments and key enabling initiatives
• Actively identify execution impediments and drive resolution
• Defining Key Performance Indicators, monitor performance and drive corrective actions
• Interact and communicate with various levels in the organization from individual contributor to C-level executives

Key Job Qualifications:

• 10+ years post-MBA experience, preferably in the finance industry
• Top strategy consulting and/or corporate strategy experience, with relevant industry experience
• Outstanding individual and team performer with strong track record in strategy development
• Ability to drive consensus and execution across teams, organizations & company cultures
• Strong passion for technology, deep understanding of technology landscape and key trends in the areas of virtualization and cloud computing
• Good blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, planning and implementation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to think strategically and creatively, exercise judgment
• Superior communications and influencing skills
• High energy and comfort working in a fast-paced, start-up style environment
• A strong preference will be given to candidates with direct experience operating in Finance
