Senior Internal Audit & Control Officer at Wisdom Scroll Consulting

• Conduct internal audits of project expenditures, procurement, payroll, and contracts.
• Assess compliance with company policies, Nigerian tax laws, and construction regulations.
• Identify financial and operational risks and recommend controls.
• Review payment certificates, variation orders, and subcontractor claims.
• Perform surprise site audits on material stock, equipment, and labor records.
• Prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations for management.
• Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
• Investigate suspected fraud or misappropriation.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 6–9 years in internal audit, with at least 3 years in construction or real estate.
• Skills: Knowledge of auditing standards, forensic accounting, ERP systems, and construction cost structures.
• Certifications: CIA, ICAN, ACCA, or CISA required.
• Other: High ethical standards and ability to work independently.
