Mechanical Engineer at Safety Consultants and Solutions Provider Limited

Job Objective

• To ensure that all departmental technical drawing and plan are carried out to standard specifications to meet set deadlines.
• To deliver engineering calculations and technical presentations.
• To learn how to ensure that all engineering site work are carried out to design specification.
• To assist with providing different engineering design solutions, methodologies and tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to prepare mechanical design calculations (fire systems, hydraulics), interpret engineering drawings, relate with and interpret standard requirements.
• Must be familiar with material specification and able to prepare bill of materials and specification docs.
• Attend technical and coordination meeting with senior colleagues.
• Assist in ensuring that all engineering site work is carried out to design specification.
• Produce manual engineering calculations; perform checks to ensure accuracy and deliver technical presentations, if required.
• Prepare drawings to standard specifications to meet set deadlines.
• Assist the design and production teams, review engineering content with senior design engineer, department lead.
• Attend departmental and individual training.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Demonstrate capacity to handle an aggregate of (two) 2 projects, producing all deliverables such as drawings, documentation and bill of engineering material to meet the required standard and specification.
• Show capacity to improve the work process and methodology for improved quality and delivery time.
• Demonstrate capacity to meet set deadlines for deliverables
• Demonstrate eye for detail in deliverables.

Requirements

• B.Sc/HND in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years working experience
• Must be resident in Lagos.
