Communication Officer/Assistant at Emerging Platforms

He or she will:

• Support internal communications, through developing and distributing regular internal e-newsletters and other activities as requiredManage VP website, suing the cms to ensure the website is kept up to date
• Help implement our social media strategy and support the day to day management of our social media profiles
• Manage the production and distribution of e-newsletter, including writing content and sourcing images
• Implement communications strategies that meet VP’s objectives
• Implement communications strategies around core campaigns and projectsResearch media stories, develop press releases, draft press materials and liaise with journalist as necessary
• Research, maintain and update media lists and stakeholder contactsImplement and manage a communications forward planning system
• Manage and co-ordinate media arrangements for in-house events as well as liaising and managing VP representation at external events
• Manage and produce quality designs/images for events/programs

Required Job related Competence:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Preferably communications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven experience of generating great written content on and offline
• Understanding of the scope of different media channels and how they can best be used to communicate to different audiences
• Experience working with designers and other stakeholders to produce professional materials in range of formats to suit audience needs
• Experience of using content management systems to update websites
• Experience of using a range of social media channels with a work/professional contextVideo/photo editing skills as well as graphic design skills
• Understanding of digital media and its use in developing communication campaign
