    Public Relations Specialist

    Job Summary:

Mshel Homes Limited is seeking a creative and strategic Public Relations Specialist to manage and elevate the company’s brand image, media presence, and public communications. You will serve as the primary liaison between the company and its various publics — including media outlets, community stakeholders, clients, and the general public. As brand perception is central to our success in the real estate market, this role is critical to building trust, driving awareness, and supporting sustained business growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns that align with the company’s brand identity and business objectives
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets across print, digital, and broadcast channels
    • Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media statements, company announcements, and editorial content
    • Monitor media coverage, track brand mentions, and prepare regular media reports for management
    • Coordinate and manage press conferences, media briefings, product launches, and public-facing events
    • Serve as the first point of contact for all media enquiries and manage reactive communications during reputational or crisis situations
    • Develop and manage the company’s thought leadership strategy, including securing speaking engagements, interviews, and opinion articles for senior leadership
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency of messaging across all communication channels — social media, website, email, and advertising
    • Manage the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) communications and community engagement initiatives
    • Maintain an up-to-date media contact database and press kit for the organisation
    • Identify and mitigate potential reputational risks, providing timely advice and response strategies to management
    • Track industry trends, competitor activity, and public sentiment to inform PR strategy
    • Generate regular PR performance reports, including media reach, sentiment analysis, and campaign outcomes, for the Department Manager

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related role
    • Experience in the real estate, property development, or financial services sector is an advantage
    • Proven track record of securing media coverage and managing successful PR campaigns
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
    • Proficiency in media monitoring tools, PR platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Prior experience handling crisis communications is an advantage

    Skills:

    • Excellent storytelling, copywriting, and content creation abilities
    • Proficiency in social media management and digital communications platforms
    • Strong media relations and networking skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously under pressure
    • Data analysis and reporting skills to evaluate campaign performance and media impact
    • Team player with a proactive, solution-oriented attitude
    • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity

    What We Offer:

    • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
    • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
    • A collaborative and innovative work environment.
    • The chance to make a meaningful impact within the real estate industry.
