    National Sales Manager

    Reports To: Managing Director
    Location: Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt
    Department: Sales / Marketing

    Summary

    • The position of National Sales Manager is responsible for leading a Sales team to meet or exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth within the Account Executives' assigned business portfolios.

    Key Responsibilities
    Functional Duties:

    • Select, develop, and coach a professional sales team to meet or exceed specific goals for profitable revenue growth.
    • Develop and implement annual sales and strategic plans to accommodate corporate goals.
    • Pursue identified business prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with marketing resources and the sales leadership team to define.
    • Overall sales strategy, and to develop products and solutions responsive to the customer's business.
    • Apply research insights and to provide compelling advertising solutions based on the company's business strengths.
    • Establish a planned program for sales coaching, working with sales and account team on all aspects of the sales process. Makes coaching sales calls with sales team to provide feedback, and to assist with large opportunities.
    • Travels extensively to meet customers and to coach sales team in the field.
    • The National Sales Director will be responsible for national territory, vertical market or named account list. This person will manage relationships with other staff functions to ensure appropriate resources are available and focused to support selling objectives.
    • The position will report directly to the Managing director and will work in a collaborative environment with our sales team to maximize revenue opportunities and optimize profits. The individual will increase the company's market share by building strategic relationships in a highly-segmented marketplace.
    • Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
    • Apply research insights and to provide compelling advertising solutions based on the Company's business strengths.
    • Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff's productivity.

    Required Qualification

    • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
    • M.sc in any other related sciences.
    • 8-10 years of marketing and sales experience with pharmaceutical products.
    • 3+ years of relevant sales experience, including a track record of business development, and sales goal success.
    • At least 5 years experience in marketing/sales related managerial position.
    • Demonstrated sales experience in a healthcare environment.
    • Oral and written communication skills.
    • Consultative selling skills.
    • High level of financial and business acumen.
    • Executive presence to influence senior decisions.
    • Knowledge of advertising industry.
    • Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff's productivity.

    Required Skills and Attributes:

    • Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy.
    • Computer literate and proficient with various business software packages.
    • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a growing and changing organization.

    • Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, web, databases).
    • Staff consulting and relationship building skills.

    Other Requirements

    • Must be within 40 -45 years old.
    • Must be of sound mind and body.
    • Must be willing to travel regularly.
    • Excellent entrepreneurial, leadership, communication skills.
    • Self-confidence, decisiveness and common sense.
    • Fluency in English required, Yoruba and other languages is a plus.
