We are a wholly indigenous quality-driven Oil and Gas services company involved in the provision of Drilling & Completion Services and Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning (EPICIC) services. We are looking to fill the role of a Legal Adviser

Job Summary: The legal adviser will play an important part in the company by negotiating and drafting complicated contracts and agreements and making sure that the company's business and legal interests are managed and protected.

Responsibilities:

• Provides advice and guidance to management on a wide range of legal issues
• Attends meetings with joint venture partners or contract companies and negotiate on legal and commercial matters
• Drafts, reviews and amends legal documents
• Keeps up to date with legal matters that affect the industry
• Provide commercial legal support to all departmental projects and job functions
• Ensure the development of service level agreements for service support and delivery.
• Attend meetings of the Company, providing all necessary secretarial support services in respect of the meetings with the applicable rules and regulations.

Education and Experience

• Must be a graduate of a reputable university
• Must have completed law school
• Minimum 7 years post NYSC experience

Other Skills

• Good knowledge of Oil and Gas industry, its legislations and practices
• Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills, including related to voluntary company disclosures and corporate responsibility
