Position Summary: The incumbent will be top management staff responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Medical Laboratory, Radiology, Cardiology and the Wellness clinic of the organization.

Reporting To: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors

Key Responsibilities

• Providing effective leadership of the medical laboratory, radiology, cardiology, and wellness clinic, including budget planning and financial management, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Acting as Consultant Pathologist for the organization by performing pathology diagnostics, interpreting, signing out test results and consulting with referring doctors.
• Overseeing quality standards and lean processes in accordance with the principles of Good Laboratory Practice, accreditation requirements and pathology-related scope of practices, including quality control, health and safety, standard operating procedures, turn-around times and flow of testing.
• Relating and functioning effectively with accrediting and regulatory agencies (e.g. HEFAMAA, NNRA, NAFDAC), appropriate administrative officials, the healthcare community, the patient population and providers of formal agreements when required.
• Actively promoting the company through professional presentations, CMEs, and high-level customer service to referring doctors, hospitals, HMOs and corporate organizations.
• Selecting and monitoring laboratory, radiology, cardiology and wellness clinic suppliers/vendors.
• Overseeing monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of the company’s financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
• Assisting the CEO and the Board in creating an annual organizational budget, monitoring of cash flow and maintaining long-range financial plans.

Education & Qualifications

• Preferably a Clinical Pathologist who is a fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African Postgraduate Medical College or its equivalent registrable by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and must possess a current practicing license from the MDCN.
• Additional qualification in business or financial management will be an added advantage.

Required Experience and Skills

• 3 - 5 years’ experience as Medical Director, Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operations Officer with a reputable medical diagnostics company.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel, MS word and laboratory information system (LIS).
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English.
