In the building and construction industry, you may be responsible for inspecting buildings and infrastructure such as highways and bridges, homes, dams, and sewer systems. You may also have to examine structures to ensure that they've been built in compliance with building codes and ordinances. In addition to undertaking some of the works personally, you may also manage the entire project.
