    Civil Works Construction Manager (Oil and Gas Pipeline Facilities)

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project.
    • Prepares, supervises and approves the development of PEP [from construction point of view], and its implementation plus ensuring Lessons Learned are properly documented through out the life of the project including Project Close-out
    • Manage the construction effort and be the construction representative of our company with Client. To plan, develop and organize the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan to timely completion within budget and to implement the execution of that plan.
    • Responsible for implementation of the scope of work as related to construction/ fabrication, pre-commissioning, load-out and offshore installation hook-up and offshore pre-commissioning and commissioning of the facilities in conformance with project specifications, Scope of Work, and in accordance with the approved Project Schedule.
    • Monitor and report to Project Manager / Sr Construction Manager of project details, including progress, risks and opportunities in a timely manner.
    • Ensures all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented
    • Define clear roles & responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and schedule to all the team members.
    • Review man-hours and duration forecasts to completion for onshore construction and man-hours, duration and manning forecasts for offshore hook-up and offshore installation durations and resource requirements.
    • Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance. Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures/work instructions.
    • Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks through out the Company.
    • Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the management.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Civil Engineering
    • 8 to10 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas and Construction industry.
    • Must possess construction experience in offshore structures and/or pipeline installation projects.
    • Ability to travel as and when required.

    Commissioning Manager (Oil and Gas and Pipeline Projects) - 3 positions

    Job Description

    • The PC&C Manager is responsible for all PC&C activities on his/her Project, to bring the Project Facilities from a status of "End of Construction" to a condition of "fully commissioned/ tested and ready for Client Acceptance/ Handover".
    • The successful candidate must ensure that all PC&C activities are performed in accordance with the contractual requirements, -ie allocated budgets, HSE rules, contractual schedule and in line with PC&C execution methodology.
    • Given his/her cumulated handover function, he liaises with the Construction disciplines (electrical, instrument, piping, mechanical).
    • The PC&C Manager coordinates with the Site Manager, Vendors Representatives and Client. Area PC&C Superintendents report to him/ her.

    Within Project, the PC&C Manager is involved in the following tasks:

    • Takes part in project planning & scheduling; Prepares and keeps up-to-date the commissioning and start up execution plan
    • Supervises the preparation of the Commissioning, start up and handing over procedures
    • Reviews the performance test procedure
    • Reviews Vendors schedule and assignment, concerning the commissioning and start up activities
    • Identifies the project requirements
    • Supervises the preparation of the PC&C Engineering
    • Takes part in the project review meetings to make sure that the commissioning requirements have been duly complied with
    • Supports the HSE Manager for the aspect falling within his area of responsibilities and for the preparation of the general HSE plan
    • Verifies the preparation of the HSE Plan and Procedure for commissioning, and start up test run
    • Ensures the application of the HSE Manual for the activities falling within his sphere of responsibility
    • Ensures the issue of work progress reports for the part he is responsible for. Reports on weekly basis to the home office.
    • Ensures at site, the management of commissioning and start up activities, coordinating the activities carried out by Client/ Contractors, Suppliers, and third parties, availing with the assistance of Construction Manager, if deemed necessary
    • Assists the Construction Manager in the phases of the completion of construction and commissioning
    • Organizes and performs the Commissioning of the Facilities
    • Defines commissioning System and hand over priorities
    • Defines and reviews the commissioning spare parts & consumables

    Profile

    • The successful candidate will be a graduate engineer or equivalent and will have at least a ten year international experience in Oil & Gas/ Pipeline Projects commissioning.
    • He will have already occupied a similar position within an international sized project.
