We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as hands-on experience with financial transactions and record-keeping. The Accounting Assistant will support various accounting functions and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, and reports.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial statements, and other financial documents.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
Assist in the preparation for audits and provide necessary documentation.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
NCE/OND in Accounting or related field.
Minimum of 3 years working experience in accounting or finance.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
