    GM Gas & Commercial

    Description:

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Optimise and protect the value of existing assets and to grow and reshape the company's portfolio to ensure sustainable growth and support business objectives.
    • Support the exploration for oil and gas, the development of projects, the management of existing assets
    • Manage liabilities, obligations and enforcement of Commercial contracts – CHA, Lifting, GSA. This includes negotiations, invoicing and receivables.

    DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION DUTIES

    • Manage relationships with each counterparty of all Commercial Agreements (CHA, GSA, Terminaling, Crude Offtake).
    • Provide advice, help and commercially astute options in achieving win-win resolutions of contractual disputes with counterparties, liaising with legal counsels as necessary.
    • Drive Crude Reconciliation and Allocation process with all Pipeline customers and Terminal Operator.
    • Liaise with Hydrocarbon accounting to support Crude Curtailment process with regulators and ensure lifting programs are structured to optimize value for the organisation.
    • Update, reconcile and maintain records of CHA payments and liabilities of all  Injectors.
    • Update, reconcile and maintain records of CHA payments and liabilities of Crude and Gas Off-takers
    • Supporting trading by timely execution of lifting process. Liaise with Risk Management and Crude Offtaker to optimize pricing window for lifting. Coordinating and liaising with Finance to determine facility payment exposures, and seeking and negotiating early payment with Offtaker as necessary to mitigate facility underperformance.
    • Liaise with Finance to ensure timely payments of monthly Terminaling charges.
    • Provide advice and support for negotiations for new ventures or new fiscal terms and undertake value-based analysis to support commercial decision making.
    • Maintain Commercial database and analyse commercial position of the company and each of its customers for accurate reporting of their commercial performance.
    • Conduct analytic planning and scheduling reports for ongoing projects to identify potential problem areas and report findings to management.
    • Support business leadership with Corporate Strategy and Planning.
    • Provide support to major initiatives in the areas of macroeconomic trends, collection, and analysis of Oil & Gas data, and drafting of policy recommendations, economic research, and econometrics.
    • Keep abreast of requirements of Joint Operating Agreements and commercial contracts.
    • Liaison with JV partner and regulator on all E&P commercial activities to ensure compliance.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Provides technical support (including- business analysis, research, financial analysis, reporting, project managing, planning and organization) for the operations and activities of the Gas & Commercial Department in order to enhance productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.

    JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

    • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements and uncovering areas for improvements
    • Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for supervisor to support company reporting cycles
    • Consolidate, reconcile, validate and obtain clarification of financial information from relevant units/departments to report forecasts and budget
    • Identifying business trends utilizing real data, compiling analysis reports that are delivered to management and then follow-up on all results
    • Interpreting large data sets, preparing recommendations, and presenting to supervisor to influence the strategic direction of the department/ company

    Production Programmer

    Description:

    Job Summary: Production Programmer is required to maximize hydrocarbon production from the well production assets through good well data, well activity management, identification and follow up on unrealized production potential. In addition, s/he will be required to optimise within the operating envelope and work with Wells and Reservoir Management (WRM) team to improve production performance.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Perform well monitoring, optimisation (within operating envelope), data analysis, and trending on oil/gas production, gas/water injection, flaring and well issues (using PI/Shurooq) to explain production fluctuations & identify concerns vs targets for oil, gas, water.
    • Monitor production optimisation and new oil, and highlight tripped wells to Production Technologist
    • Ensure that well parameters, i.e. Flowline pressures are maintained and updated in the production Dashboard.
    • Provide Field Operations with outline of well activity programmes for all non-standard well entries (repairs, surveys, stimulations, etc.).
    • Produce like for like artificial lift designs and coordinate with PT to amend existing designs when required for production optimisation
    • Troubleshooting of Well issues and artificial lift issues (work with Field Programmer/Production Technologist)
    • Drive well management improvements through evaluation of behaviour, diagnosis and raise proposals to the Well services section or engineering liaison function for implementation.
    • Define routine requirements for sampling / CO2 tracer surveys / Flush by unit restoration activities.
    • Monitor meter issues for overall production / well testing and gas/water balance/reconciliation factors
    • Work with WRM team to identify short and medium-term scope oil optimisation, currently un-produced oil, through a structured review of existing well performance against theoretical production potential, to take cost-effective measures to realize this scope and participate in periodic Well performance reviews and subsurface meetings.
    • Maintain Integrated Production System Capacity with input from process engineering
    • Provide subsurface/Wells-related activity input for the Integrated Activities Plan, Monthly & Short term (2yr) production forecast working with WRM teams, Well Services and Operations services consistent with the Operations Business Plan.
    • Review weekly/ monthly Deferment data (deferment code & duration), Reconciliation Factor, Maximum Rate of Produced Water (MRPW) data & weekly data quality checks and update monthly waterflood reports, water and gas balances.
    • Create swing list and creaming curve 1st and 3rd week of the month and ad hoc if required (for tank top, water injection restrictions, gas compressor restrictions).

    Requirements:

    • B.Sc. in engineering
    • Minimum of five years relevant experience especially in an oil producing environment (operating companies preferred).
    • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
    • Extensive experience in the oil industry with at least considerable relevant production operations experience in surface and subsurface operations.
    • Good understanding of well surveillance, troubleshooting and several artificial lift techniques, computer literacy, and familiarity with typical standard hydrocarbon accounting tools is required.
