    CCTV Operator


    Location: Ogijo, Ogun

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor & Observe: Continuously watch multiple CCTV screens for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, vandalism, or safety hazards.
    • Camera Operation: Control PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras, switch views, and focus on specific areas or individuals.
    • Incident Response: Alert security personnel or law enforcement to incidents, providing real-time intelligence on suspect descriptions and locations.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs, reports, and incident books, documenting actions taken and events observed.
    • Video Management: Securely record, store, and retrieve video footage for investigations or evidence.
    • System Maintenance: Ensure all CCTV equipment, alarms, and access controls are functioning correctly, reporting malfunctions.
    • Safety Checks: Monitor staff working in isolated areas (e.g., cleaners at night) to ensure their well-being.

    Requirements

    • Interested candidates should possess an OND / SSCE with 1 - 3 years experience.

    Essential Skills:

    • Attention to Detail: Highly observant with the ability to concentrate for long periods.
    • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication for reporting and liaising.
    • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with IT systems and surveillance equipment.
    • Integrity & Professionalism: Maintain a calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure.
    • Flexibility: Ability to work rotating shifts, often 24/7.

    Typical Work Environment:

    • A central control room, often operating in shifts.
    • Involves working with banks of monitors, keyboards, and communication devices.
