    Application Developer

    Job Summary

    • The application developer role is a technology focused role intended to provide software development and analysis services to the group. This role is best suited to candidates with proven experience building production, commercial-quality web based solutions with technologies like JAVA, .NET and related technologies and also strong in depth SQL-Server development experience.
    • Applicants must be comfortable with advanced SQL syntax, SQL Server development, SQL and Oracle Databases. The candidate needs to be flexible and open to new ideas or change with the passion and drive to excel in their career.
    • He must be self-directed, organized, and extremely attentive to details. Must have an understanding of agile methodology, iterative development processes, SDLC and have strong OOD and OOA skills.

    Responsibilities
    The Application Developer will be expected to have aptitudes, skills, knowledge and experience on the following areas:

    • Demonstrable analytical skills with regard to specifying and detailing business processes and requirements.
    • 5+ years of relevant object-oriented application building experience in a professional environment
    • Delivery experience with .NET framework, including C#, ADO.NET, LINQ and ASP.NET.
    • 5+years delivery experience with Java.
    • Extensive experience with SQL Server (2005/2008/2012).
    • Extensive experience in the use of Oracle Database.
    • Experience with SQL data business intelligence (OLAP, etc…) preferred
    • Advanced knowledge and experience in HTML and DHTML, JavaScript, CSS
    • Practical experience in Agile development methodologies
    • Formulation, management and execution of data test strategies, plans and delivery commitments in concert with business and project management efforts.
    • Mobile and web service development experience
    • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g.; JIRA, Bugzilla) and managed workflows
    • Strong familiarity with source control systems (e.g. Team Suite)

    Problem Solving
    The Application Developer will often be challenged with new problems to which they will need to rely on strong problem solving skills to resolve:

    • The ability to accurately identify the cause of a system/application malfunction, interpret that to management and their colleagues, document and propose resolutions
    • Fully understand structured methodologies (e.g. Agile) for using programming code to solve business problems
    • Ensure all changes and implementations are well tested and managed in a controlled manner with full rollback plans
    • Correctly identify when assistance is required and request it accordingly
    • Collaborate with the wider team in matters where their support is required.

    People Management and Development
    The successful will also be required to possess the following:

    • The ability to work well within a team and as part of a larger overall technology team
    • They should display strong collaborative characteristics

    Experience and Qualifications
    Ideal candidate should have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S/B.A), Computer Science, Computer or Electronic Engineering or similar disciplines.
    • 5 – 8 years delivery experience with Java or .NET technologies
    • Extensive experience with Oracle database.

    Siebel CRM Developer

    Job Description

    • Siebel CRM Developer is a software development position in designing and developing mission critical large-scale, high-availability, multi-tier, transactional, enterprise systems.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Extensive background across multiple Siebel modules with recent experience in Siebel Open UI. Siebel certification is strongly desired.
    • Working with Siebel Tools, Siebel CTI, Siebel EIM, BIP, task based UI, Oracle, E-scripting, and VB scripting.
    • Plan and estimate development work needed to implement assigned tasks.
    • Transform complex requirements into working, maintainable enterprise-level solutions.
    • Perform detailed application design as appropriate.
    • Author and maintain design and technical documentation necessary.
    • Provide leadership to other team members to deliver high quality systems on schedule.
    • Relational database experience, Oracle preferred.
    • Analysis and design skills using formal methodologies and Object Oriented Programming principles.
    • Outstanding oral and written communications skills in both technical and client facing situations.

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements

    • Should have in-depth knowledge of Siebel CRM.
    • An excellent understanding of Siebel application architecture, Siebel data model, configuration tools, adaptors to interface with external devices, and Siebel server side processes.
    • Experience as a technical liaison in support of a project manager.
    • A broad understanding of current hardware and software technologies.
    • Experience in high-volume, transaction processing productions systems.
    • Experience with a recognized software development lifecycle methodology.
    • Good interpersonal skills in order to interface successfully with an onshore project manager,clients and office personnel
    • Creative problem solving skills
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the project team to ensure timely delivery of high quality delivery enterprise applications
    • Integrated unit test development experience.
    • Test plan development experience

    Educational Qualification

    • Bachelor's or higher-level degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.

    Experience

    • 2 - 7 years post NYSC experience of Siebel design and development.

    Technical IT Project Manager

    Job Description

    • IT Project Manager is to oversee the planning and implementation of more than one complex IT project. These projects pertain to the delivery of timely, quality IT services and/or relate to improving business effectiveness or efficiency.
    • The projects managed by the IT PM are more critical, complex, have broader scopes and more impact than those managed by Project Managers. In this role you will manage project scope, schedule and budget for the projects. You will provide significant input into creation of project budget and manages to it.
    • You will also lead teams which are brought together for the duration of the project and work with matrixed or administrative managers to ensure resources are managed appropriately.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manages the design, development, and implementation of projects to include, but not limited to gathering and defining the project requirements; obtainstaffing requirements; and form projected teams.
    • Develops methods, procedures, and quality objectives including metrics for assessing progress; utilizes established project standards, procedures, and quality objectives.
    • Conducts project kickoff meetings; communicates individual roles and project expectations; ensures all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively.
    • Assemble and coordinate the internal and external teams to gain consensus on deliverables from each team.
    • Manage the formulation and ongoing tracking of each project.
    • Develops detailed project plans and schedules.
    • Provides work direction and leadership to assigned projects, including scheduling, assignment of work, and review of project efforts.
    • Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential risk to project schedule; identifies ways to resolve schedule issues; keeps management current on any changes.
    • Assesses variances from the project plans; gathers metrics, and develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope and is within time, cost, and quality objectives.
    • Conducts formal quality assurance reviews with business sponsors during and upon project completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction.
    • Provides the team with constructive feedback as it pertains to project performance.
    • Interviews, selects, supervises, develops, and if necessary, counsels personnel according to established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project sponsors, project team members, and vendors.
    • Performs related duties and fulfils responsibilities as required.

    • In-depth knowledge of project management concepts, practices and techniques.

    • In-depth knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives.
    • In-depth knowledge of project management life cycle, methodologies and support tools (e.g., MS Project, ABT, Peregrine, Clarity, etc.).
    • A solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure needed to run a large distributed web application
    • Experience in customer engagement to facilitate requirements
    • Demonstrate initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements
    • Demonstrate the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems

    Educational Qualification

    • Bachelor's or higher-level degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.

    Experience:

    • 8 years post NYSC experience as an IT Project Manager
    • Information Technology Experience.
    • Experience in managing Information Technology Projects (Project Management Certification required).
