    Brand Communication Executive

    Details:

    The Brand Communication Executive will report to the Head of Corporate Strategy. She will join the team and will be responsible for providing media insights and foresights that will be used to create a strategic foundation to achieve the following objectives:-

    • Increase in student population
    • Increase of international students
    • Increase in boarding population
    • Achieve ranking as one of the top 5 schools in Africa and put the school on “top of mind” across Africa.

    Job description

    • Plan and execute all website, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
    • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for admissions and entrance examination
    • Identify opportunities for marketing/PR that can lead to the primary objective of increasing student population
    • Offline review of target market segments and activities within the organisation for PR worthy events
    • Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
    • Design, build and maintain the school’s social media presence
    • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against set goals (ROI and KPIs)
    • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
    • Website audit, review and regular updates
    • Generation of content and clever writing for the school’s blog
    • Explore partnership opportunities that can lead to increase in top of mind awareness and also generate leads for follow-up
    • Create and adopt a system to engage and track leads generated from acquisition channels
    • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
    • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
    • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
    • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
    • Develop strategic relationships with agencies and other vendor partners
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations where necessary
    • Engage in physical sales calls to feeder schools and targeted high profile housing estates

     Requirements

    • BSc. degree in marketing or a related social science field
    • Proven working experience in digital marketing
    • Proven working experience in relationship management
    • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
    • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
    • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
    • This person must be organized, resourceful, creative, and have strong interpersonal skills.
    • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
    • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
    • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
    • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
    • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
    • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
    • The candidate should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies
    • Must be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution

    Assistant Operations Manager

    Details:

    To oversee maintenance of the school facilities and supervise maintenance staff/contractors to ensure the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations. Must be reliable and have a great eye for detail and basic knowledge of various artistries such as carpentry, air-conditioning, plumbing etc. Knowledge of HSE and quality standards. Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.  Knowledge of requirements of regulatory authorities within the sector. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling and record keeping.  Astuteness of Microsoft office particularly excel and ability to generate computerized reports.

    The goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times.

    Must have at least 4 years working experience and possess relevant certification/practice in the electrical field with the ability to:-

    • Troubleshoot/maintain mechanical, electrical, environmental systems/subsystems including control/balancing these systems;
    • Diagnose causes of electrical and mechanical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair
    • Inspect electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.
    • Install electrical system components (e.g. lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, circuits, scoreboards, timers, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities.
    • Repair electrical components and/or systems (e.g. motors, circuits, transformers, generators, compressors, switches, intercom systems, equipment, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition.

    Job Functions:

    • Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems
    • Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other system
    • Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.
    • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
    • Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
    • Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
