    Specialist, Product Analysis & Design

    Job Summary

    • Assist in translating concepts and ideas into products and services, thus ensuring that approved concepts relating to consumer segments are converted to product design specifications and manage the end-to-end delivery of products and services.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Develop the product design specification for all approved concepts from Consumer Segments.
    • Coordinate with key stakeholders (IT, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Customer Experience and Revenue Assurance) involved in the implementation of consumer segment products and services
    • Conduct research on key consumer segment related products and services as well as developments and trends in the telecommunications industry.
    • Document the FAQ’s for new all consumer products and services and lead the facilitation of product training before the launch of services.
    • Review all test cases developed by the QA team for all consumer products and services to ensure that the test cases are aligned with the product requirements.
    • Propose modifications to enhance products/services within the consumer segment by identifying potential product and services innovations and proffer recommendations on identified concepts through to launch.
    • Assist in monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the performance and quality of all consumer services in line with defined functionalities and specifications.
    • Attend unit/team meetings as required.
    • Coach, supervise and direct the activities of subordinates/junior staff (where applicable).
    • Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Manager, Product Analysis and Design
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Product Analysis and Design

    Education and Experience

    • First Degree or its equivalent in a relevant discipline.
    • Three (3) to five (5) years relevant work experience.

    Head, Products & Digital Services

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for the design, launch, and implementation of both strategic and tactical products interventions and initiatives to deliver on T2 Mobile’s customer and revenue objectives.
    • Responsible for the end-to-end management of T2 Mobile’s consumer products and services portfolio in alignment with the organization’s market objectives.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Develop, execute and manage T2-Mobile’s product marketing strategy to achieve customer and revenue targets
    • Design and implement the market segmentation strategy for T2-mobile with continued adaptations to evolving market dynamics 
    • Ensure successful configuration, testing and launch of approved products within the stipulated time frame
    • Post launch evaluation and in-life management of existing products portfolio
    • Ensure the periodic testing of live products to ensure that the attributes are not altered without proper approvals
    • Ensure that launched products are profitable and do not expose the business to leakages and/or fraud
    • Regularly evaluate Market and Competitive benchmarks to inform/fine-tune T2-Mobile’s product strategy roadmap
    • Conduct periodic research and VOC surveys to proactively identify customer needs, as well as changing consumption dynamics
    • Work with the Usage and Retention team to rollout and monitor appropriate baby care programmes for new customers
    • Work with the Usage and Retention team to design and implement a robust CVM framework to minimise customer inactivity and to mitigate churn
    • Ensure regulatory compliance across T2-Mobile’s entire products and services portfolio
    • Liaison with other commercial units for targeted initiatives (such as events and experiential activities) to attract and retain valuable customers
    • Build and sustain strong and long-lasting relationships/partnerships with major mobile applications service providers (MASPs) to ensure a robust VAS & digital services portfolio for T2-mobile
    • Work together with other departments and divisions within the organization to identify any process improvements and improve standards, efficiency and profitability.

    Education and Experience

    • First Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
    • Postgraduate/ professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
    • Eight (8) to Ten (10) years’ work experience, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
    • Strong research and analytical skills, with an ability to identify trends, draw valid conclusions, make insightful recommendations and create dynamic presentations.

    Manager, VAS & Digital Services

    Job Summary

    • Drive the VAS portfolio strategy and ensure that approved services are rolled out and their lifecycles effectively managed through concerted supervision and project leadership of the VAS & Digital Services team

    Roles and Responsibilities
    Tactical:

    • Keep abreast of global and local best practice as it relates to the development of concepts for all EMTS’s portal and VAS content.
    • Ensure the continuous review of the unit’s activities, make recommendations for improvement and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the team.
    • Identify required resources, personnel and funding to achieve the unit’s strategy.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

    Operational:

    • Co-ordinate the development and deployment of the VAS & Digital services roadmap and strategy while ensuring alignment with T2 mobile’s overall business objectives and targets
    • Develop initiatives and strategies to drive the uptake of VAS & Digital Services on the network
    • Drive engagement with the Digital & Innovations team to prioritize partnership opportunities and integrate with multiple external partners
    • Ensure that all launched VAS are in compliance with applicable regulatory directives
    • Drive cross-functional working relationships with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and various Commercial teams to scope, plan and deliver new VAS/Digital initiatives
    • Continuously review unit activities, make recommendations for improvement, and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the team
    • Co-ordinate the development of unit processes, procedures & policies, and ensure conformity by all unit members and other stakeholders
    • •eview the technical implementation plan for VAS & Digital Services including identified potential barriers and recommended solutions
    • Review and provide input in the development of propositions and business cases for up-to-date VAS/Digital Service innovations, and proffer recommendations to the Head, Products & Digital Services.
    • Co-ordinate implementation of all projects related to the development of VAS & Digital Services, and ensure timely completion and compliance with quality standards
    • Co-ordinate the evaluation and management of Mobile Application Service Providers (MASPs) as well as Digital Services provided by MASPs prior to launch on the network
    • Liaise and manage relationships with third party content providers and ensure adherence to all copyright and other relevant laws.
    • Ensure that content providers comply with agreed service levels especially as it relates to quality.
    • Assist in planning and managing the human and material resources of the unit to optimise performance, morale and enhance productivity.
    • Manage inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates’ performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives
    • Monitor and control the budgetary needs of the unit.
    • Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Head, Products & Digital Services.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the head, Products Digital Services

    Education and Experience

    • First Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
    • Postgraduate/ professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
    • Six (6) to eight (8) years work experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
