Job role

• This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos for a Senior Manager, People and Performance.
• To drive organizational effectiveness by designing and executing people and performance strategies that improve leadership capability, employee productivity, engagement, and accountability across ISN Medical.
• The role partners with business leaders to build a high-performing workforce through structured performance management, talent development, data-driven insights, and a strong culture aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or a related Social Science discipline.
• A minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) is required.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, HRCI-PHR/SPHR or equivalent) is required or strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 7–10 years’ progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or HR Business Partner/HR leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in performance management, talent management, organizational development, and employee relations.
• Proven track record designing and implementing performance frameworks (KPIs/OKRs, scorecards, appraisal cycles, and improvement plans).
• Hands-on experience with leadership development, succession planning, and high-potential employee programs.
• Experience driving employee engagement initiatives, culture transformation, and change management programs.
• Strong working knowledge of Nigerian and International labour laws, disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and workplace investigations.
• Experience using HRIS and people analytics tools to build dashboards, interpret workforce data, and support management decision-making.
• Ability to design policies, procedures, and structured feedback systems that improve accountability and productivity.
• Experience coaching line managers and executives on performance conversations, talent decisions, and leadership effectiveness.
• Strong analytical capability with experience measuring productivity, retention, workforce effectiveness, and organizational health metrics.
• Ability to manage sensitive employee matters with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across senior leadership and operational teams.
• Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple initiatives while driving measurable people and performance outcomes.
• Experience in healthcare or related industries is preferred but not required.

Job Role

• To drive revenue growth, expand client relationships, and increase market penetration for the laboratory by identifying new business opportunities, strengthening existing customer partnerships, and promoting diagnostic serviceswhile collaborating closely with the sites Laboratory Manager to ensure service quality, operational readiness, client satisfaction, and sustainable growth aligned with ISN’s long‑term revenue projection of USD 150M by 2030.

Role Mission

• To provide strategic, operational, and commercial leadership that positions the organization as Nigeria’s leading provider of disease management services to patients living with chronic ailments (Diabetes & End-stage kidney disease).
• The MD/CEO is expected to improve clinical outcomes, expand access, drive financial sustainability, strengthen partnerships, and scale nationwide operations.

Key Outcomes
Business Performance and Operational Excellence:

• Achieve total company revenue and profit targets
• Business Growth & Expansion: Increase patient volumes by 55% YoY
• Achieve patient satisfaction scores: 90%+ and Net Promoter Score of 50+
• Build and sustain partnerships with key private and public stakeholders
• Implement technology systems to drive data accuracy and operational excellence
• Drive quality clinical standards to ensure patient Safety and improved health outcomes.

Talent and Team Excellence:

• Build and develop a finance team of A-players, with at least 90% meeting or exceeding performance goals.
• Implement a leadership development program, ensuring succession readiness for all key Care top talent roles within 12 months
• Key talent turnover should be less than 10%.

Governance, Risk, and Compliance:

• Achieve zero material audit findings through strengthened internal controls and compliance processes

Qualifications

• Relevant Qualifications: An advanced degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field is preferred.
• 12–15 years’ progressive leadership experience, with at least 5–7 years in a senior executive role (MD/CEO, COO, Hospital Director, or equivalent)
• Proven experience within healthcare delivery, preferably in: Chronic disease management (Diabetes, Renal care, Hypertension). Hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres, or healthcare networks
• Demonstrated track record of scaling healthcare operations across multiple locations. Driving revenue growth, profitability, and patient volume expansion
• Leading organizations through growth, transformation, or turnaround phases
• Leadership and Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies, lead teams, and drive organizational goals.
• Business Acumen and Financial Management: Strong understanding of business operations, budget management, and long-term financial planning.
• Healthcare Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with medical diagnostics solutions and the healthcare sector in Nigeria and West Africa is an advantage.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, clients, and team members, fostering collaboration and partnership.
• Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills to address challenges and make strategic decisions for growth and improvement.
