Job Purpose

• We are looking for a DevOps / SRE Engineer to help us set up and maintain reliable systems that improve customer experience.
• Your responsibilities will include designing infrastructure as Code, deploying product updates, identifying production issues before they impact on our SLAs and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps practices, we’d like to meet you.
• Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately and securely.

Responsibilities

• Take Responsibility for ensuring smooth cloud-based IT operations
• Work with Developers to provide tools to enable continuous Integration
• Administer Kubernetes Cluster
• Be on Call as would be required
• Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
• Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them

Requirements

• Academic Qualification: Bachelor's Degree with a technical major (Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics).
• Professional Qualification: System Administration / System Engineering Certification in Unix / Linux/ AWS/Azure
• Experience: 5 to 6 years of experience in administering production systems.
• The ideal candidate for this role is one that is a builder and a problem solver at heart.

The candidate needs to:

• Have an understanding of the Three ways: The principle Underpinning Devops
• Have experience working as a DevOps engineer or playing a similar role
• Have experience working with Kubernetes in a production environment.
• Have a working knowledge of Continuous Integration with Jenkins or similar tools
• Have experience deploying and maintaining production workloads on AWS
• Have working knowledge of NodeJS
• Current Understanding of best practices regarding System Security Measures
• Relevant AWS and Kubernetes Certi cation is an added advantage.

Main Duties

• Design and oversee all aspects of our digital marketing department including our marketing database, email, and display advertising campaigns.
• Develop, implement and monitor campaign budgets.
• Plan and manage our social media platforms.
• Give creative designs on weekly basis on social media campaign.

• Work with your team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.

• Handles all web hosting and web design for the company.
• Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
• Track and analyse analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilise this information to positively affect future outcomes.
• Responsible for continuous improvement by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then act on the information.

Job Summary

• The SE participates in technical research and development to enable continuous improvement/innovation within the ERS environment.

Key Accountabilities

• The SE ensures the ERS software systems, hardware systems and related processes/procedures adhere to organizational values.
• The SE assists project teams with technical inputs and issues during the Initiation, Planning and Execution phases of the project life-cycle. These activities include R & D within the project life-cycle, technical analysis, implementing, testing and rolling out the ERS solutions.
• The SE participates in the smooth software transition between the development phase and production operation.
• The SE is accountable for the following systems: Azure, AWS platforms, Active Directory, Infrastructure Platforms, ERP, Linux, Redhat

Responsibilities
Implementation and Provisioning:

• Install new / upgrade existing ERS servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services settings, and storage. Networks, databases, etc in accordance with standards and projects/operations requirements.
• Conduct integrations with Subsidiary’s platforms
• Maintain and improve installation and configuration procedures.
• Contribute to maintaining systems standards.
• Research and recommend innovatively and when possible automated approaches for Systems deployment.

Operations and Support:

• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all server resources, and systems, reviewing application logs, and verifying completion of daily jobs such as backups.
• Perform daily backups and regular archiving and purging if necessary.
• Perform Level II, III support per requests from various stakeholders. Investigate and troubleshoot incidents reported.
• Repair and recover from application failures.
• Coordinate and communicate with impacted stakeholders.

Maintenance:

• Apply patches and upgrades in accordance with Change Management processes in place.
• Maintain configurations, monitoring tools, capacity planning tools, and other procedures.
• Perform periodic performance audits and reporting to improve capacity planning.
• Perform continuous performance tuning and optimizations.

Academic Qualifications
