Key Responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive records of livestock health, movements and breeding.
• Prepare farm business accounts, manage budgets, process invoices, and handle VAT and tax returns.
• Calculate and process employee wages, maintain employment records, and ensure staff qualifications are up-to-date.
• Source and manage the purchase, hire, and maintenance of farm machinery and supplies, often involving obtaining quotations and processing payments.
• Stay informed about and ensure adherence to relevant health, safety, tax, and agricultural legislation, including managing applications for government grants and subsidies.
• Answer phones, write letters and emails, manage the office filing system (both manual and computer-based), and support overall business administration.
• Utilize farm-specific business software, digital financial recording systems, and other agricultural management applications.

Required Skills and Qualities

• OND, HND, BSC in a relevant field of study and experience working as a secretary.
• Ability to manage diverse tasks efficiently and maintain a good overview of all farm activities.
• Crucial for accurate record-keeping, financial tasks, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Effective verbal communication with farmers, farm managers, suppliers, and staff.
• Ability to operate Microsoft office-suites.
• Ability to adapt to changing farm conditions such as working hours.
• Ability to work closely and collaboratively with the farm owner and other farm staff.

Benefits

• Salary: N80,000 - N100,000  Monthly depending on experience.

• Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
• Cleaning and organizing farm buildings, storage areas, and equipment;maintaining fences, ditches, and other farm infrastructure
• Assisting with record-keeping for animals and crops
• Adhering to safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and maintaining a safe environment for both animals and workers
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Job Requirements

• SSCE, OND qualification
• Smart and hard-working
• Skills in operating and maintaining simple farm equipment and machinery
• Flexibility to handle seasonal changes and perform a wide range of tasks as may be required and needed from time to time
• Ability to work well with a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues
• Capability to identify and address issues on the farm
• The job may involve long hours, particularly during busy planting or harvesting seasons.

Benefits

Job Summary

• We are sourcing for a Resident Vet doctor for our client who is into large scale livestock production located in Owerri Imo State, Nigeria.

Job Responsibilities

• Examine animals and check their health status
• Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment
• Dress wounds of injured animals
• Perform dental, ophthalmic and orthopedic surgeries
• Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases
• Spay and neuter cats and dogs as needed
• Prescribe medication
• Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare and general care
• Conduct home visits occasionally, in case of emergency
• Update client records

Requirement and Qualification

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in managing livestock farming general operations.
• Relevant experience working in an environmental controlled house also desirable.
• Versatile in Poultry medicine, diagnosis, poultry production and management.
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Leadership skills with impeccable character
• Proven work experience as poultry medicine diagnostician or similar role would be an added advantage

Salary
N250,000 – N350,000 Monthly depending on experience
