Veterinary Doctor at Elevated HR Limited

Job Summary

• We are sourcing for a Resident Vet doctor for our client who is into large scale livestock production located in Owerri Imo State, Nigeria.

Job Responsibilities

• Examine animals and check their health status
• Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment
• Dress wounds of injured animals
• Perform dental, ophthalmic and orthopedic surgeries
• Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases
• Spay and neuter cats and dogs as needed
• Prescribe medication
• Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare and general care
• Conduct home visits occasionally, in case of emergency
• Update client records

Requirement and Qualification

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in managing livestock farming general operations.
• Relevant experience working in an environmental controlled house also desirable.
• Versatile in Poultry medicine, diagnosis, poultry production and management.
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Leadership skills with impeccable character
• Proven work experience as poultry medicine diagnostician or similar role would be an added advantage

Salary
N250,000 – N350,000 Monthly depending on experience
