    Pricing Associate

    Job Objective

    As a pricing Associate, you will be in charge of screening prices of all groceries Categories and subcategories across the following online channels, Glovo, mano, konga, etc. spending some of your time at large retail stores. This is also required for us to purchase below RDP and ensure we have the best price at all times. (working the pricing reverse from target RRP to the target cost through the target margin pool by segment).

    Responsibilities

    • Tracking market trends and keeping up to date on prices set by online competitors and Offline Retail stores.
    • Collect vendor as well as dealer prices along with aggregation in the pricing database
    • Work closely with the pricing manager to track movement in costs.
    • Participate monthly in portfolio valuation procedure.
    • Support various team members with special pricing projects.
    • Respond to internal ad hoc requests.
    • Support to research, archive, and gather information.

    Qualification & Experience

    • Excellent communication and reporting capabilities
    • 1+ years as a Pricing Associate
    • Customer-centric attitude at all times
    • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel (SQL would be a plus)
    • Ability to analyze large data sets to make strategic decisions

    Strategic Account Manager- Advertising

    Job Objective

    You will be responsible for managing the media activities of Jumia’s Strategic brand partners: the Joint Business Plan (JBP) Partners. You will have a dozen JBP brands in your portfolio to animate monthly with an expectation of high-achieving campaigns. Should bandwidth allow,  you will also be able to support some of our key strategic sellers that are not part of regional JBPs but covered in local ones.  

    You will be working closely with the Strategic Vendor Service (SVS), each leading one brand regionally from the commercial, logistic.

    Responsibilities 

    As the end to end owner of the execution of all media activities of the regional JBP partners in your country, your responsibilities include:

    • defining a monthly media plan for your brands
    • executing the media plan once aligned with the brand
    • analyzing the media plan performance at channel level & optimizing it intra-month
    • reporting on the results and building recommendations brand by brand to improve the coming months plans
    • building relationships with local JBP brand teams as well as the Adops & marketing teams

    Qualification & Experience

    • Growth hacker mindset
    • Brand DNA sensitivity is a plus
    • 2/3  years experience managing online marketing campaigns: multi-channel management, at ease with marketing KPIs and campaign budget management 
    • Enjoying data crunching and at ease with large data sets and multiple sources of info
    • Enjoying working with multi-stakeholders
    • Good English level

    Value Added Services/ Sponsored Product Lead

    Value Added Services/Sponsored Products Lead.

    Job Objective

    This role will manage the overall development of VAS products strategy, plan, and road map that drive VAS products revenue and support VAS products performance for individual and corporate customers.

    Responsibilities 

    • Take ownership of VAS products including elaborating on the product value proposition, target market, application scenarios, key differentiators and USPs, benchmarking, trends and vision
    • Drive the product development for digital services such as customer loyalty, vouchers & gift cards, logistics subscription fee etc.
    • Use market gap analysis and segmentation data to identify opportunities for additional products and services. Present compelling business cases for new products, demonstrating return on investment
    • Work with all relevant stakeholder in the definition, impact assessments and development of new products. Stakeholders include but are not limited to Commercial, Marketing, BI and Logistics, Content and Finance
    • Support in customer meetings and workshops, demonstrating products and consulting on VAS capabilities and best practices
    • Manage each in-life products and services on a profit and loss account basis, using financial performance data to make individual product investment and withdrawal decisions, proposing and implementing changes required to optimize performance
    • Handle issues related to VAS products to ensure all inquiries, issues, and complaints are handled according to company's policy and agreements

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
    • 6 years of experience working in a digital or related role with at least 4 years of hands-on product management/development experience, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services
    • Experience in building differentiated customer value propositions and product value proposition.
    • Ability to present compelling business cases for investment in new products and services development.
    • Demonstrated project management experience and excellence in driving cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
    • Proven success in delivering complex products/services in a high growth environment
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
