Research and generation of investment ideas (bonds and stocks) for clients as well as for proprietary trading
Portfolio asset allocation in-line with each client’s Investment Policy Statement
Draft investment memos for the Investment Committee
Communicate investment instructions to brokers and counterparties
Generate generic periodic investment reports and documents (e.g. factsheets for mutual funds and Quarterly reports for discretionary and non-discretionary portfolios, etc.)
Liaise with the Trustees and SEC on Fund related issues
Keep a record of corporate actions and recommend a position when offered different corporate action options
Requirements
Minimum BA/BSc (2nd Class Upper) or HND (Upper Credit)
An MBA in a Finance related field and/or professional qualifications such as ACS, CFA, ACA, are an advantage
At least 7 years’ experience in research or portfolio management in a bank or investment management company
SEC sponsored individual status will be an advantage
In-depth knowledge of the Bonds (Naira and Eurobonds) as well as Equities (Nigerian and international) is mandatory
Relationships with Issuing houses, Banks and other sell side market participants is required
