    People Operations Associate

    Our client, a Fintech company is looking for a people operation support to be responsible for supporting all people operations efforts across the organization. To be a successful people operations support, you will have good communication skills, pay attention to details and be a people person.

    Responsibilities:

    • Understand key business goals and designs proactive programs to help achieve them
    • Creates and executes goal-based initiatives with a total rewards philosophy
    • Maintain a holistic approach when addressing business goals using customized people tools

    Focus on increasing employee value:

    • Coordinating new hire onboarding programs and other training programs for new employees
    • Maintaining performance output documentation per team
    • Creating initiatives that boost employee engagement, recognition and development
    • Managing the workflow of human resources (HR) professionals by orchestrating tasks such as interviewing candidates and writing offer letters
    • Coordinate interviews and hiring needs
    • Support and act as a relief manager for the admin manager
    • Liaised with the Head of People in developing new employee engagement initiatives for employees
    • Supporting the Head of People Operations in maintaining a high-quality employee life cycle
    • Creating and updating employee records, including processing new hires
    • Supporting employee activities such as incentive programs, wellness programs, and volunteerism opportunities
    • Preparing reports on various feedback surveys carried out by the People Team
    • Screening job applicants to ensure they meet qualifications and fit within the company culture

    Requirements:

    • Must live in Lagos
    • Must be able to be in the office three times a week
    • Great interpersonal skills - you should be able to give daily feedback on how team members are doing based on the frequency of your in-person interactions
    • Legal background preferred
    • 3+ years of experience in People Operations/HR
    • Strong analytical and excel skills

    HR Coordinator

    Overall Purpose of the job

    • Responsible for the recruitment, onboarding and retention of qualified onshore staff in accordance with Company procedures and local / international regulations.
    • Responsible for the training and development of staff
    • Advise senior management on HR and Labour issues and regulations
    • Responsible for coordinating CSR initiatives and supporting local community engagements
    • Maintain HSEQ System for the Department.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Create an environment for effective employee development and performance management using appropriate HR tools including performance appraisals, career planning, training planning, etc
    • Create, maintain and implement local HR policies including travel, health, absence, sickness, etc. policies
    • Responsible for localizing, creating awareness of and implementing corporate HR policies, practices and culture in the Nigeria office.
    • Provide strategy on local compensation and benefits plan, making recommendations to enforce competitive compensation practices and a motivated workforce.
    •  Ensure compliance with relevant HR and labour related regulations and maintain good relationships with appropriate external bodies.
    • Organize periodic employee presentations / retreats / teambuilding sessions and such events
    • Responsible for delivering appropriate reports to Senior Management in Nigeria and Group offices on HR related matters.
    • Verification of HR related invoices with Finance for payment
    • Create, coordinate and drive CSR initiatives and support local / host communities’ engagements
    • Work closely with the HR teams in Oslo, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

    HSE Responsibilities

    • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of HSE awareness;
    • Observe and report any unsafe activities, conditions or situations;
    • If you observe anything unsafe use the ‘Stop Work’ card.

     Qualifications / Skills / Experience

    • A degree or related professional qualification in Human Resources Management;
    • Minimum of 8 years work experience in a similar position, preferably in the offshore Oil & Gas or Maritime industry;
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite and knowledge of systems for personnel tracking and reporting
    • Fluent in English.
    • Good understanding of HRIS
