    Finance Officer

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
    • Process accounts payable and receivable
    • Monitor bank transactions and reconcile bank statements
    • Support the budgeting and forecasting process
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
    • Assist in internal and external audits
    • Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing of tax and statutory obligations
    • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
    • Contribute to financial risk management strategies

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: 

    • Bachelor\\\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or ACCA is an advantage)
    • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
    • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
    • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
    • Good organizational and time-management abilities
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Health/Nutrition Assistant

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain a database of all porridge mom beneficiaries and update regularly as needed.
    • Work closely with community structures to follow up on the implementation of the porridge mum (Infant Young Child Feeding (IYCF) activities, cooking demonstration, MUAC screening, hygiene promotion and complementary feeding with the support from the Nutrition Officer;
    • Participate in sensitization meetings with vendors before each disbursement;
    • Mobilize porridge mum beneficiaries with support from the community nutrition mobilizers during disbursement;
    • Oversee and maintain constructed porridge mom kitchens to ensure they are in good condition and used appropriately;
    • Ensure proper documentation of all activities and prepare/share monthly reports on porridge activities;
    • Using approved tools, document all referrals and follow-up information of all children with MAM;
    • Support the M&E team in data collection for screening, PDMs, KAP surveys or other nutrition-related assessments;
    • Supervise routine MUAC screenings by CNMs;
    • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly summaries of all nutrition information captured;
    • Organize and participate in community sensitization meetings including community entry meetings, feedback meetings with stakeholders, community nutrition mobilizers e t c;
    • Support the development of banners and placement;
    • Participate in local coordination meetings as required;
    • Supervise activities of CHIPS agents/CVs.

    Position Requirements:

    • Diploma in Public Health, Nutrition, Dietetics, Food science, or other relevant qualifications with experience in Nutrition programming especially at community level;
    • Minimum of one (2) years’ experience in Nutrition programming;
    • Good communication and Interpersonal skills;
    • Proficient in Microsoft tools like word, excel e t c;
    • Fluent in written and spoken English, Hausa and Kanuri;
    • Ability to observe and to provide feedback on the activities;
    • Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions;
    • Commitment to and understanding of REBHI’s aims, values and principles.

    Project Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Planning & Implementation: Leading the design and implementation of project activities, developing comprehensive work plans, setting objectives, and ensuring activities align with donor proposals and the organization\'s strategy.
    • Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): Assessing the effectiveness of activities using M&E tools, monitoring progress against indicators, and recommending changes in strategy if needed.
    • Budget & Financial Management: Overseeing project budgets, monitoring expenditure, ensuring compliance with financial procedures and donor regulations, and preparing financial reports in collaboration with the finance department.
    • Team Management: supervising, coaching, and mentoring project staff and volunteers, managing performance, and ensuring adherence to policies.
    • Coordination & Communication: Acting as the primary point of contact, liaising with local authorities, partners (CBOs), and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
    • Documentation & Reporting: Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans, reports, and meeting minutes for internal use and donor reporting.
    • Logistics & Administration: Managing logistical and administrative issues, including procurement, supply chain, and ensuring proper use of materials and assets.
    • Security & Risk Management: Monitoring the local political and security situation, assessing risks, and ensuring that security procedures are followed by the field team to ensure staff safety. 

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Experience: Typically a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a management or project support position within an NGO or development/humanitarian context is required. Experience working in insecure environments is often essential for field-based roles.
    • Education: A Bachelor\'s degree or it’s equivalent in a relevant field such as management, social work, international relations, or community development; a Master\'s degree may be preferred.
    • Core Competencies:
      • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural, multidisciplinary team.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) and project management software.
      • Strong analytical capacity and attention to detail.
      • Commitment to humanitarian principles and the REBHI\'s mission and values.

    Nutrition Educator

    A Nutrition Educator in REBHI focuses on implementing community-based nutrition programs, promoting healthy behaviors, and supporting the management of malnutrition. 

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Community Mobilization and Education: Facilitating health and nutrition education sessions for community members and caregivers on topics such as Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices (including exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding), hygiene, and disease prevention.
    • Screening and Case Management Support: Assisting with community-level nutrition screenings (e.g., MUAC measurements for children under five and pregnant/lactating women) and referring malnourished cases to appropriate treatment centers (Outpatient Therapeutic Programs - OTP, Stabilization Centers - SC).
    • Data Collection and Reporting: Accurately recording beneficiary data, compiling routine program data, and preparing regular progress reports for management and donors.
    • Capacity Building: Training and mentoring community health volunteers (CHVs), local health workers, and mother-to-mother support groups to ensure sustainable nutrition practices and program implementation.
    • Partnership and Coordination: Working closely with local government health authorities, community leaders, and other partner organizations to ensure harmonized and effective nutrition programming.
    • Logistics and Supply Chain Support: Assisting in monitoring stock levels of nutrition commodities (like RUTF and RUSF) and ensuring proper storage and handling. 

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor\'s degree or HND in Nutrition, Public Health, Dietetics, Community Health, or a related health science field.
    • Experience: Prior experience (often 2- 4 years, depending on the role\'s seniority) in community-based nutrition programming, particularly within a humanitarian or development NGO context, is highly desirable.
    • Skills: Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and community members.
    • Language: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages spoken in the duty station (e.g., Hausa) is often a strong asset.
    • Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of national and international nutrition guidelines and protocols, such as Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices, is necessary.

    Community Engagement Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with community members, leaders, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure active participation and support for programs.
    • Program Implementation Support: Coordinate and support the delivery of project activities, such as training sessions, awareness campaigns, and events, ensuring they are culturally appropriate and align with the project\'s goals.
    • Mobilization and Outreach: Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote the REBHI\'s mission and activities, actively engaging diverse community groups, including youth, women, and marginalized populations.
    • Feedback and Accountability: Serve as a point of contact for community feedback, concerns, and complaints, ensuring that a two-way communication channel exists between the community and program management to inform decision-making and improve program quality.
    • Data Collection and Reporting: Conduct community assessments, track the progress and impact of engagement activities, document success stories, and prepare regular reports for management and donors.
    • Capacity Building and Mentorship: Facilitate training and provide ongoing support/mentorship to community volunteers, local partners, and community-based structures to enhance local capacity and ownership of initiatives.
    • Advocacy and Representation: Represent the organization at community-level forums and meetings, advocating for community needs and the program\'s mission to diverse audiences. 

    Required Qualifications and Skills

    • Education: A Bachelor\'s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Communications, Public Health, or a related field is typically required.
    • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in community development, mobilization, or a related field, preferably within a non-profit or humanitarian context.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences. Knowledge of local languages is often a strong asset or requirement.
    • Cultural Competence: A strong understanding of the local context, cultural nuances, and the ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse communities.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the flexibility and adaptability to manage competing priorities and resolve conflicts.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and experience with data collection or donor management tools are often required.
    • Personal Attributes: High levels of integrity, empathy, and a commitment to the REBHI\'s mission and values (e.g., child protection, gender equality, accountability).
