    Site Safety Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in developing and implementing safety and loss prevention programs.
    • Monitor the safety performance of on-site workers to determine vulnerability.
    • Identify and remove unsafe or hazardous materials from job sites prior to each shift.
    • Check workers to ensure that they are wearing the right type of clothes (helmets, jackets, and gloves) before they begin their shift.
    • Inspect the workplace at the beginning of each day to make sure it is safe for operation.
    • Perform inspection on equipment and tools that workers will use during their shift.
    • Check the stability of scaffolding and make sure that all materials such as tar, cement, and bricks are of good quality.
    • Perform accident investigations to gauge measures that need to be taken to prevent them the next time.
    • Write a detailed report of on-site accidents.
    • Conduct detailed safety audits on a periodic basis.
    • Educate workers about the company’s safety policy and procedures that they need to follow.
    • Store hazardous materials and dangerous equipment in designated storage places.
    • Inspect safety-related complaints such as spills, poisoning, and disease outbreaks.
    • Communicate essential safety standards to workers during each walkthrough stage regardless of how many times it has been repeated.
    • Conduct safety training and orientations.

    Requirements

    • First degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in the construction industry 
    • Ability to climb heights using ladders or scaffolding
    • Profound knowledge of company project work.
    • Profound knowledge of industry standards and regulations
    • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities – the ability to maintain good record of all safety-related activities

    Finance Manager (Chartered Accountant)

    We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage all accounting transactions
    • Prepare budget forecasts

    Batching Plant Lab Assistant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assisting with the daily testing of concrete specimens to the high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency within agreed timescales.
    • Execution of concrete production or testing tasks according to standard operating procedures or testing standards
    • Shovel and carry material in buckets for testing
    • Communicate between contractors, dispatch, labs and mixer drivers
    • Monitor concrete testing on jobsites to ensure proper procedures are being followed
    • Coordinate trucks on jobsites if needed
    • Keeping accurate and legible records of all works undertaken.
    • Ensuring that test equipment used is checked, cleaned and maintained.
    • Processing test specimens through the laboratory and ensuring all samples are marked and stored correctly.
    • Understand, follow, and enforce all safety standards
    • Assisting with laboratory maintenance and general housekeeping.

    Requirements

    • First degree in Engineering or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years, preferably more, hands-on experience in cement and concrete testing in a laboratory or industrial setting as well as familiarity with both ready-mix and dry-cast concrete production.
    • Good knowledge of concrete testing, durability tests, aggregates (specific gravity, absorption, moisture, sieve analysis..), and lab equipment.
    • Good Numerical and Mathematical understanding.
    • Organised and able to work to deadlines 
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure, while maintaining professionalism. 
    • Good communication and reporting skills 
    • Maintain concentration and have a keen eye for detail
