    HSE Officer

    Objective

    The HSE Officer will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in factory operations, minimizing risks to personnel, property, and the environment while promoting a safety-first culture within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    Health & Safety Compliance

    • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs in line with local regulations and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
    • Ensure compliance with occupational health standards, including noise, air quality, and hazardous material exposure limits.

     

    Environmental Management

    • Monitor environmental impact assessments and ensure adherence to mitigation measures.
    • Oversee waste management, water usage, and pollution control processes.

    Incident Management and Reporting

    • Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
    • Maintain detailed records of incidents and generate reports for management and regulatory bodies.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of safety inspections, audits, training, and incidents.
    • Prepare periodic HSE performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.

    Training & Awareness

    • Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
    • Promote awareness of safety protocols, emergency response plans, and best practices in HSE.
    • Stay updated on relevant HSE laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Serve as the point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits.

    Emergency Preparedness

    • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including drills and simulations.
    • Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services as required.

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
    • Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is an advantage.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HSE roles within the mining or heavy industry sector.
    • Strong knowledge of factory operations, risk management, and local HSE regulations.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with teams at all levels.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suites
    • Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools.
    • Ability to work independently and in high-pressure environments.

    Performance Metrics

    • Reduction in workplace incidents and accidents.
    • Compliance with regulatory and internal HSE standards.
    • Timely resolution of identified hazards and risks.
    • Effective training programs and employee engagement in safety initiatives.

    Technical/Maintenance Officer

    Job Summary

    The Maintenance Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and technical infrastructure within our factory. This position encompasses maintenance, repair, and technical support across a range of areas including industrial machines, plumbing systems, etc. Your role will ensure efficient operations across all technical aspects, contributing to overall productivity and security.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair industrial machinery, including various processing machines.
    • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate efficiently and minimize downtime.
    • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures throughout the factory premises.
    • Address plumbing emergencies promptly to minimize disruption to operations.
    • Perform welding tasks as required for machine repairs, equipment modifications, and facility maintenance.
    • Ensure welding work meets safety standards and adheres to technical specifications.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for machines, plumbing systems, fabrications, and other technical areas.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards across all technical operations.
    • Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and management to address technical requirements and support factory operations.
    • Provide training and guidance to staff on machine operation, safety protocols, and maintenance best practices.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Technical Support Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing systems, fabrication and welding techniques.
    • Certification or vocational training in relevant technical fields.
