    Human Resource Officer

    The HR Officer will oversee all human resources functions across VHIL locations within Lagos. This role involves recruitment, onboarding, policy enforcement, performance management, and HR analytics, coordinating training programs, managing staff attendance, welfare, handling queries, and overseeing general HR-related matters.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Recruitment and Onboarding: 

    • Collaborate with Business Manager to identify staffing needs, conduct interviews, assess candidates, and manage the entire onboarding process for new hires.

    Policy Enforcement: 

    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across all locations. Implement and communicate HR policies in line with business goals.

    Performance Management: 

    • Oversee performance appraisals to evaluate employee performance, providing guidance and support to managers in addressing performance-related matters.

    HR Analytics and Reporting:

    • Utilize HR data to generate reports, and provide insights to drive informed decision-making.
    • Prepare regular HR reports for management review.

    Training Program Coordination:

    • Organize and coordinate in-house training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

    Attendance Management:

    • Monitor and manage staff attendance records and leave requests across locations.

    Employee Welfare and Queries:

    • Act as a point of contact for employee queries, concerns, and grievances.
    • Facilitate resolution of employee issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

    General HR Matters:

    • Oversee all other general HR-related activities, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and best practices.

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

    • Time-to-Fill: Decrease time-to-fill without compromising candidate quality.
    • Employee Turnover Rate: Maintain a low turnover rate by implementing retention strategies.
    • Policy Compliance Rate: Maintain a high rate of policy compliance across all locations.
    • Performance Evaluation Completion Rate: Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations for all employees.
    • Absenteeism Rate: Reduce absenteeism by implementing strategies to improve attendance.
    • Employee Satisfaction and Engagement: Maintain or improve overall employee satisfaction and engagement scores throughout employee lifecycle.
    • HR Metrics Reporting Accuracy: Ensure precise and timely reporting to aid decision-making.
    • Quick TAT on Staff requests (e.g Confirmation, leave, loan, IOU etc).
    • Training & Development- Designing Effective Training Plan and Strategies to increase employee efficiency and motivation. Not less than 80% achievement of Training Plan.
    • Manpower Adequacy level-Ensuring 100% utilization of budgeted manpower.

    Supply Chain Management Officer

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Carry out purchase activities of local Fresh items. New vendor development and negotiation.
    • Coordinate with various existing and new vendors to ensure best option for procurement and timely delivery.
    • Implement control mechanisms to ensure least wastage.
    • Designing monthly/weekly planning and implementation of purchase strategies. Plan effective cost control method to check the input costs as well as inflation.
    • Negotiate technical as well as commercial term with new as well as existing vendors as per company norms.
    • Create MIS- daily, weekly and monthly reports for the management.
    • Coordinate with stores and maintenance team for weekly stock checking & suggesting procurement requirement.
    • Ensure no stock out at any time.
    • To get the approvals and submit the purchase order to the selected vendor and ensure that the deliver is made by actual date of delivery as accepted.
    • Ordering of material with consultation and proper understanding of the need of Shop floor.
    • Build Relationship with Vendors and Internal customer

    SKILL SET/COMPETENCIES

    • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills and detail oriented
    • Good understanding of industry standards, document transmittal requirements. Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and handle challenging work demands and tight schedules
    • Ability to liaise well with professionals from other disciplines
    • Able to handle many diverse tasks simultaneously and be able to work effectively
    • Demonstrate ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
    • Able to make timely decisions in a high pressure environment. Knowledge of file format conversion process – MS office, MS Teams, ERP/Inventory systems
    • Work under minimum supervision
    • Soft skills/personality: outgoing, meticulous, quick learner

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Prefer to have a minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience of relevant role in retail environment.
    • Working knowledge of Purchase planning, good supplier communication and basic procurement SOP
    • Knowledge and experience using MRP/ERP system for planning and inventory control. Ability to use MS office and planning software for assisting planning.
    • Some local travel to suppliers from time to time and communication with other division sites in PAN Nigeria
