    NYSC Associate Lawyer

    Department: Litigation/ ARD

    Industry: Legal

    Report To: Team Lead

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate should be able to:

    • Reports to the team lead/ unit head in charge.
    • Carry out assigned daily litigation tasks.
    • Research and analyze the law on complex issues and writing briefs for submission to a supervising lawyer in the firm.
    • Analyze and summarize complicated legal documents, including contracts, and suggesting alterations to those documents..
    • Interview witnesses, work with paralegals to sort out legal research and find relevant casework or filing documents with the court or opposing counsel.  
    • Prepare briefs and write articles in line with the projections and modern legal trends. 
    • Analyze legal issues and proffer solutions in line with the law. 
    •  Work with the Litigation and Corporate Department.
    • Research legal authorities.
    • Handle routine client enquiries and communication.
    • Collate of matter start and matter completion data and prepare all claims cost.  
    • Investigate facts for a related matter.
    • Draft and review court pleadings as well as other legal documents (loans, pledges, share purchase agreements, escrow agreements, resolutions etc.).
    • Ensure legal obligations are met at all times.
    • Handle client’s complaints and concerns on legal matters.
    • Contribute to business development ideas by conducting thorough research on top class law firms.
    • Source for client and briefs for the firm.

    Education and Work Experience:

    • LLB - University degree in law – (2.1 Minimum).
    • B.L - Law school certificate (2.1 Minimum).
    • 0–1-year post- call experience.
    • Should currently be a youth Corp member or just finished NYSC.

    Requirements:

    • Must reside in Abuja
    • Must be able to draft reports
    • Must know how to carry out legal research.
    • Strong computer literacy
    • Attention to details and procedures.
    • Ability to liaise and communicate with clients directly.
    • Familiar with administrative software
    • Strong reporting skills.
    • Good negotiation skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Commnunications Assistant

    Job Description

    The Communications Assistant will be responsible for providing support to all the firm’s marketing and communications efforts.

    The Assistant will support the Brand Manager in developing and implementing the Firm’s communications and marketing strategies for initiatives related to programs and events.

    Responsibilities:

    • Update and maintain the firm’s social media presence, including daily monitoring, posting, scheduling and reporting online media updates.
    • Assist develop, write, edit, and proof communications materials such as articles, web stories, newsletters, and social networking activities (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
    • Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and tools for marketing and communications.
    • Provide support to design flyers, graphics, invites, brochures and other collateral materials.
    • Maintain up-to-date media lists.
    • Researching and monitoring media trends.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
    • Having published articles and accessible online designs is an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Premier Pro (or other video editing software) is an added advantage.

    Key Skills

    IT Officer

    Department: Administrative Department

    Report To: Human Resources

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will (but not limited to):

    • Set up and manage emails as well as accounts back-ups and signature for end users.
    • Manage information technology and computer systems and electronic data operations.
    • Develop and manage the company web site and set up network servers.
    • Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users.
    • Activate and monitor intrusion prevention mechanisms.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve all network and computer related issues.
    • Integrate security, physical control solutions for all confidential data and systems.
    • Integrate and configure computer networking for best performance.
    • Upgrade systems with new models and software.
    • Schedule, setup and manage virtual events.
    • Liaises with IT vendors and service providers to the organizations for quality service delivery to staff and stakeholders.
    • Conduct periodic system servicing and maintenance.
    • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
    • Identify security gaps and provide relevant solutions in consultation with the Operations manager.
    • Develop and manage budget of the IT department.
    • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
    • Enhance office IT system through appropriate upgrades and advise operations unit on changes or improvements required.
    • Help install and maintain all IT equipment and infrastructure for effective service delivery.
    • Liaise with other departments for timely resolution of IT related issues.  
    • Carry out other tasks that are related to the job function as assigned.

    Requirement

    • B.Sc. in BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
    • Minimum of 1-3 years’ work experience as a system administrator/IT specialist.
    • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and web development.

    Required Competencies:

    • Sound technical knowledge about IT, security of systems and current trends and developments in information technology.
    • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
    •  Knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repairs, and troubleshooting.
    • Excellent attention to details and analytical skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different personalities.
    • Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
