    Microbiologist

    Location: Idanre, Ondo

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a dedicated Microbiologist to join our team at Johnvent Foods.
    • The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all food products meet the highest microbiological standards, ensuring safety and compliance with health regulations.

    Key Responsibilities
    Microbial Testing:

    • Conduct microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor and maintain accurate records of microbiological test results and trends.

    Quality Control:

    • Collaborate with the Quality Control team to implement and enforce food safety standards.
    • Perform routine testing for pathogens, spoilage organisms, and allergens in products and raw materials.

    Hygiene and Sanitation:

    • Oversee and perform regular environmental monitoring of the production areas to ensure compliance with sanitation and hygiene protocols.
    • Conduct microbiological analysis of water, air, and surfaces in the manufacturing facility to prevent contamination.

    Research and Development:

    • Support product development and innovation by conducting microbiological research to improve food preservation techniques, shelf life, and safety.
    • Collaborate with R&D teams to troubleshoot microbiological issues and propose corrective actions.

    Compliance:

    • Ensure that all microbiological activities adhere to local and international food safety regulations and industry best practices.
    • Prepare and submit reports on microbiological findings to regulatory bodies when required.

    Requirements

    • Education: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a microbiology or food safety role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
    • Skills: Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, laboratory equipment, and food safety regulations. Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data.
    • Location: Must be willing to work in Idanre, Ondo State.

    Utility Technician โ€“ HVAC, Plumbing, and Genset

    Location: Idanre, Ondo

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Technician with expertise in HVAC, Plumbing, and Diesel/Gas Genset systems.
    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all utility systems to ensure uninterrupted production operations at our manufacturing plant.

    Key Responsibilities
    HVAC:

    • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) to ensure optimal performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC issues, including temperature regulation, airflow problems, and refrigerant leaks.
    • Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and system upgrades to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

    Plumbing:

    • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water and waste management lines.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, and faulty piping.
    • Ensure all plumbing systems are in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

    Diesel/Gas Genset:

    • Operate, maintain, and repair diesel and gas generator sets (gensets) to ensure continuous power supply.
    • Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, fuel management, and system checks.
    • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in genset systems promptly.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate records of all utility maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts replacements.
    • Work with the maintenance team to identify and address operational inefficiencies or system failures.
    • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards while performing all maintenance tasks.

    Requirements

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or genset operations.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in utility maintenance, with hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, and genset systems.
    • Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing plumbing, HVAC, and genset systems. Knowledge of safety standards and industry regulations.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in diverse environments, and be on-call for emergency repairs.
    • Location: Must be willing to work in Idanre, Ondo State.
