    Medical Laboratory Technician

    Mission Objective

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Purpose:

    • Perform phlebotomy on adults and children 
    • Provide assistance in various functions of the laboratory 
    • Maintain and update laboratory checklists regularly Provide assistance in various functions of the laboratory
    • Operate and manage automatic hematology and chemistry analyzers, pipettes, thermometers, balances, and other lab apparatus. 
    • Label, sort and record specimens and organize all information into the computer system 
    • Proficiency in performing laboratory inventory.
    • Document patient and family education.
    • Use a Lab Information Management System for specimen tracking, results entry, and reporting.
    • Lead/encourage multidisciplinary approach for patient’s discharge. 
    • Develop and provide the teaching plan utilizing the patient education manual. 
    • Enhance laboratory services and laboratory reputation.

    Engagement:

    • Identify and communicates abnormal results by alerting supervisory personnel, the patient, physician, or nurse.
    • Communicate with patients and family members in a professional, compassionate and respectful manner to facilitate healthcare delivery as a team member.

    Delivery:

    • Process and enhances laboratory services and laboratory reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Operate sophisticated equipment and instruments to perform diagnostic tests and assays following standard operating procedures. 
    • Contributes to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers by following established standards and procedures
    • Process and maintains quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced troubleshooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols.

    Targeted Specialized Knowledge 

    • Minimum qualification of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited School of Health Technology. Up-to-date complete registration and practicing license
    • Certification from the Association of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN)
    • At least 1-4 years of experience in a medical laboratory, hospital or clinic. Relevant medical laboratory certification will be an added advantage.

    Key Areas of Note 

    • Keep up to date with relevant medical research, technology, and evidence-based medical practice by attending continuing education courses and professional meetings, reading journals, etc.
    • Research unusual symptoms and treatment options, through consultation with physicians and other medical specialists.

    Talent Acquisition Officer

    • The Talent Acquisition Officer will proactively identify and attract top-tier talent. Optimizing the recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding, to enhance team capabilities, enrich our culture, and directly contribute to achieving our organizational objectives. 

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Purpose:

    • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles (entry-level to mid-senior positions)
    • Implement innovative sourcing strategies to build a strong candidate pipeline (e.g., LinkedIn, job boards, social media, referrals, networking events).
    • Provide updates on market trends, salary benchmarks, and best practices in recruitment. Screen resumes, conduct initial phone/video interviews, and coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers.
    • Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and feedback. Support employer branding initiatives (e.g., career site content, social media campaigns).

    Engagement:

    • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, review job descriptions, and set realistic timelines in line with the recruitment strategy
    • Collaborate with People & Culture managers and hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires. Participate in new hire orientation sessions as needed.
    • Regularly update hiring managers on recruitment progress and candidate quality.
    • Represent the company at career fairs, university events, and industry meetups.

    Delivery:

    • Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with accurate candidate data.
    • Assist in optimizing recruitment workflows to improve efficiency and time-to-hire.
    • Ensure recruitment processes comply with company policies and employment laws.
    • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in all hiring practices. Track and report on key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source of hire, candidate satisfaction).

    Targeted Specializes Knowledge

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 1-2 years of experience in talent acquisition/recruitment, either in-house or at an agency.
    • Proven experience with sourcing techniques and tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, etc.).
    • Strong knowledge of recruitment processes and best practices.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
